MODE Global and our family of brands have prioritized ESG
and sustainability across our organization. MODE is not only a leading provider
of intermodal, less-than-truckload and backhauling services, but we also offer
our customer energy- and resource-efficient options for transporting their
products. MODE consolidates shipments into fewer truckloads to maximize fuel
economy and lower emissions.
Since 2011, MODE Global has also participated in EPA’s
SmartWay partnership program, which helps companies advance supply chain
sustainability by measuring, benchmarking and improving freight transportation
efficiency. Further, MODE engaged an independent third-party to assess our
carbon footprint, and we will use that information to help craft our emissions
reduction strategy.
Working with our customers, we encourage the use of the following strategies to advance sustainability and optimize environmental benefits:
Fuel Conservation
Reduce fuel usage and cost through consolidation, route and/or asset optimization
Carbon Reduction
Use carbon calculators to analyze the benefits of transitioning over-the-road shipments to more environmentally friendly modes of transportation
Route Planning
Relocate inventory to co-loading routes and recommend distribution center locations to minimize distance to reduce empty miles and deadhead runs
Together, we can create a low-carbon future.
Environmentally conscious shippers partner with MODE because we are best positioned to help shippers in their sustainability journey, whether by converting to energy-efficient loads or minimizing total loads.
